this movie had me laughin and i do not laugh during movies unless it is really really funny!!! it is so much better than the first. its a must see movie!!! loved it loved it loved it!!!! the person i went with that was his second time watchin it!! -
Brought my 8 & 11 yr old grand daughters. We all enjoyed it. Totally silly but entertaining. Chipmunks were adorable. Come on - it is what is, a cartoon with great animation, humans, & some good music. Good guys and bad guys - good guys win. -
Don't waste your time unless your kids are younger than four years old. My daughter who is four loved it. My son who is 6 was bored. It seems like the director of this movie took a series of random shots and then went back to see how she could link them together to make a series of random scenes, eventually making a film. I think the cartoon Alvin and the Chipmunks vs. the Werewolf was a much better movie. Even the song selection throughout the movie was weak. The Beyonce song from the trailer was played over and over, "Put a Rng on it". And for the finale the song, "We Are Family" was chosen. Don't get me wrong, I loved the the first installment and I would recommend it to anyone. However, this sequel is amazingly disappointing.

My daughter's Christmas Day movie-going request was to see this movie. So we went. If you enjoy insipid pap and laughing at animated rodents singing and dancing to pop songs, this is your movie! If not, not. The two biggest laughs from the audience came in the last 10 minutes of the movie. Trust me: The wait isn't worth your time, and the money you spend going to this movie would be better spent on pretty much anything else.
