User reviews on Eastpoint Movies 10
movies 10 has new owners. they have spent a fortune remodeling and adding digital projection and sound in all 10 theaters. its much cleaner now, and obviously they hired new staff. they are much more friendly, courteous and service orientated.
movies 10 has the best prices in town, and with all the improvements has earned the right to be my "go to theater"
any one who has had an issue with theater in the best should definitively give movies 10 "a re-visit". I know once you do, it will be your go to theatre in the future!
I can't say I've had a really bad experience here but I wouldn't rate them 5 stars. Usually it's pretty clean although I did have one bad experience in the summer when the AC was out but that can happen anywhere. I never dealt with rude employees there. I have dealt with sound and projector issues there that seemed to take longer that normal to fix. My experience there has been mostly pain free so I give them a rating right in the middle. (can't give 2.5 stars)
Movie started with high lights on -- floors were dirty -- uncomfortable chairs
not that much cheaper -- then a better movie house -- Help seems like they need help -- buy tickets and food same cashier -- Like lets work the poor girl to death -- And let the customers stand in a line longer -- White marsh is much better ---
Today 8-14-11...went to see smurf 3d....stood in line of 10 to buy tickets where people buy tickets and food...I paid for my tickets and was told i had to stand in the other line...(of 14) to pick up my 3d glasses....the girl at the counter wouldn't just hand them to me....I was so angry...i asked for the manager who was mopping up a leak near the front door.. She then told another employee to go behind the counter to get my glasses as she did. When she gave me the glasses the people in the second line said....good for you....way to go...since they would have been angry too.....OK...they need to get this stuff together...is it their first rodeo. I will wait for someone else to tell me its better before i go back....White marsh is just as close with lots of nice restaurants too. I do have to say the manager was kind and courteous while addressing me and my concerns.
This place has NO idea how to treat a customer. They are rude. They also have mice running around wait till the health dept. gets ahold of them .
I find Eastpoint to be a clean, convenient theatre. Though I've had one or two 'not perfect' experiences there in the last 10 years, I reliably find it a good theatre for kids and families. Hubby and I go to White Marsh for date nights, but at Eastpoint you can take your kids to see a movie where many other families are watching, and not worry about your children disturbing other patrons in the lobby or in line at concessions. There are things to do while you're waiting for movies to start (video games and claw machines) and the restrooms are clean. Ignore the bad reviews and give it a try if you have kids.
This friday I found this large theater the perfect family environment. A gentle crowd, amusements for the kids, and absolutely plenty of hassle free parking. I found it to be meticulously clean and observed the new management providing prompt direction to the employees. I witnessed a well motivated professional team spirit diligently working to provide an image I see to be the perfect family environment.
The people complaining about Eastpoint not being a family movie house must have been at a different place. I take my family often and see other families with children laughing and playing and having a good time. Eastpoint dose have G rated PG rated movies. You should not over generalize just because you had a rainy day experience. Since it is a small movie house maybe they can only afford to show a few many movies at a time and show what they think is going to make money, sounds like good business to me. I guess we can find bad in anything if we try hard enough but why waste energy being selfish and negative? People need their jobs and the folks at Eastpoint always treat me well. Dont listen to the haters you guys rock.
I must say that this theater has no respect for families. They were in the process of changing new owners so there was no way for me to see what was playing. I had to get myself and my daughter together and ride over there in the pouring down rain to see that they didn’t even have any listings displayed outside like the previous owners had. Needless to say we got out of the car and of course got drenched just to go inside and have this lady (I assume she was running the new operations, if that’s what you want to call it) said “sorry thing just aren’t updated yet and we don’t have any movies playing for younger children.” I obviously was angry and had an upset child that was crying and all this lady could say was “sorry I can’t relate I don’t have children”. Well, that lady and that movie theater will never get my business again and I most certainly will be passing the word around to friends, family website etc… on how inconsiderate their employees are and not to waste their time nor money to go somewhere that doesn’t cater to families. Oh and I checked the listing again today and noticed that they don't have any movies for younger kids...I thought that going to the movies was supposed to be a family function...I guess not at Eastpoint..
I think that Regal Eastpoint is a great little movie house and Im glad its still around. The staff is kind the movie theater is clean, what more do you need to enjoy a good movie? Its right on the bus line so for people like me who dont drive its another plus. Thanks,Keith
